Panel 1: Peter storms out of the office onto the empty upstairs landing, furious. Peter yells “Mrs. Murray! Where are you?”
Panel 2: With a loud THWAP!, Peter is hit in the back of the head by something. He yells “Ow!”
Panel 3: A close up of a broken necklace with a broken pendent. From off-panel Peter says “What the?”
Panel 4: In the background, Peter is storming down the stairs with the broken necklace in his hand. Mrs Murray is waiting for him at the bottom,
wearing her coat and an old-fashioned headscarf. Mrs. Murray says “Oh, Mr. Trentham, I was just leaving for the night. Whatever is the matter?” Peter says “You know damn well what the matter is! I don’t know how you’re doing it, but this charade stops now!”
Panel 5: Mrs. Murray inches back as Peter grabs her shoulder and yells at her. Mrs. Murray says “I don’t know what you…” Peter says “Damn you, woman! Where’s the contract? And look what you’ve done to my wife’s necklace! An heirloom!”
Panel 6: Peter is yelling at Mrs. Murray as she walks away from the house. Peter yells “Get out! You can expect a visit from the police!” Mrs. Murray says “Oh no, you must understand! The boggart… you mustn’t anger it! It breaks things if it feels…”
Panel 7: Peter slams the door with a loud “SLAM!” Peter says “The nerve of that crazy old bitch!”
Panel 8: Peter is holding his head in frustration. He says “Susan! Jeremy! Help me find that contract!”
Panel 9: Peter opens his eyes, looking up. Peter says “Susan?”
