Panel 1: Peter and Susan in the kitchen, drinking wine. Peter is talking, as Susan looks at him, annoyed. Peter says “…and there’s a bloody great hole down there. How did the survey miss that?” Susan says “Well what I want to know is where my mother’s gold necklace has gone. I think Mrs. Murray might be…”
Panel 2: A sound effect goes “THUMP!” Peter and Susan look up, surprised.
Panel 3: Back in the entrance hall, in the foreground, on the floor, is a toy car, smashed and mangled. Peter is looking down at the car, while Susan is looking up at the ceiling, trying to work out where it came from. Small inset panels show close ups of the damage to car. Peter says “It’s that bloody toy car. The one Jeremy lost. Look at the state of it!” Susan says “But where did it come from? You heard it too, right?”
Panel 4: Peter pulls a silly face, trying to frighten Susan. She’s not amused. Peter says “Oooh! Maybe it’s Mrs Murray’s boggle after all! Returning things from beyond the veil!” Susan says “Boggart, not boggle. And it’s not funny. I think she’s doing this deliberately. Stealing from us.”
Panel 5: Peter heads up the stairs, towards the viewer. Susan stands at the bottom watching him go. Peter says “I’ll keep an eye on her, but right now I need to call George at the office. The Monaco contract is ready for signing.” Susan says “But what about my necklace?”
Panel 6: Cut to: Inside one of the upstairs rooms. A desk has been set up with a lamp and a phone (the old rotary dial kind) for Peter. He’s sitting at the desk, talking on the phone. Peter says “George! Yeah, Peter here. Listen, I’ve got the Monaco contract ready to go. Just need to talk through the finer details before tomorrow… Where the blazes is it?”
Panel 7: Peter is looking in one of the drawers while talking on the phone. Peter says “Hold on, George. I put it here myself. Locked the bloody drawer for good measure!”
