Panel 1: Hansel and Gretel are watching the house go up in flames, large lollipops melting around them.
Panel 2: They two stare, dumbfounded about everything that’s been going on. Hansel says “That was horrible.”
Panel 3: A similar panel as to page 1, panel 4. This time, they’re walking in the woods barefooted and filthy. Gretel says “Well, we’re back in the woods again.” Hansel kicks a rock and says “This stinks!”
Panel 4: Hansel suddenly holds up a finger and says “Hold up! I have an idea!”
Panel 5: He runs off. Gretel says “Where are you going?” Hansel says “To the duck!”
Panel 6: Gretel, leaning against a tree, says “The duck?” She looks skeptical.
Panel 7: Cut to Hansel and Gretel sitting astride a horse-sized duck. Gretel says “The duck.” Hansel says “Woo hoo!” The duck says “Where to?”
Panel 8: Gretel looks at Hansel warmly and says “Home?” Hansel looks skeptical and says “I guess. If you think we should.”
Panel 9: Gretel realizes what Hansel means, so she puts his hand on his shoulder. She says “No. What do you want to do?” Hansel, angry, says “We were left in the woods twice. I don’t want to go back.”
Panel 10: They sail into the sunset on the back of the duck. They are silhouetted against the setting sun. Gretel says “On to adventures then!” Hansel says “Do you think he’ll even miss us?”
Panel 11: Text reads “Meanwhile at home.” Hansel and Gretel’s father, a mustached man with thick eyebrows like Hansel, is kneeling on the floor. In front of him, a woman has gone up in flames. She has a long tongue like the Old Woman. She yells out “Sister! Nooooo!” Father says “Yes! Be gone!”
Panel 12: The woman has been reduced to a skull, flames still engulf it. Father looks down in shame, knowing what he has wrought. He says “Please forgive me, my children. I will try and find you.”
Panel 13: The camera pulls back from the previous shot. The flames have died down. Father looks up, quizzically. He says “Wait. Why does it smell like gingerbread?” The skull says “Tricked.”
Panel 14: Black panel with white text that says “The End.”
