Panel 1: We’re back at the news studio. Art from Panel 4 on the previous page is on the screen behind the anchor and subject matter expert. The art is ink heavy again. The anchor says “And now the creature is back? Is it looking for revenge?” The subject matter expert says “That seems very likely, yes.”
Panel 2: Cut to outside of Town Hall, a classic column-faced building. It is raining. The Wyrm is wrapped around the columns. The captions says “There’s beena flurry of activity here in the town, Bob. The creature has made its way through the market, past the leisure centre, and is now… Well, I can only call it nesting on the town hall steps.” A banner at the bottom of the panel says “Tyne TV: Worm Settles At Town Hall.”
Panel 3: Bob, the reporter from page 1, is interviewing Jeffrey Lambton, the descendant of John Lambton. He is a bit rounder in face than John, but looks a lot like him. He is wearing a re-election button on his jacket. He is angry at Bob. Behind him you can see the Wyrm on the steps and a pair of construction workers being directed by Jeffrey’s chief of staff. Bob says “I’m here with the leader of the town council, Sir Jeffrey Lambton. Sir Jeffrey, what do you say to those who say cutbacks to council pest control have allowed the worm to resurface?” Jeffrey says “Absolute nonsense!” A banner at the bottom of the panel says “Tyne TV: Sir Jeffrey Lambton, Council Leader.”
Panel 4: Bob asks “And what of your family connection to the beast? Will you be following your ancestor’s example and fighting it yourself?” Jeffrey and his chief of staff’s eyes go wide. The rain is coming down harder.
Panel 5: A close up on Jeffery’s face. He looks worried. He says “Er, I think it’s far too soon to jump to any conclusions. I’m sure there are procedures for this sort of thing.”
