There are more to come (hopefully) so if there is anything you on my site that you'd like to see in print form, let me know.

SPX 08 Report, part one
Posted in Admin » Me on October 8, 2008 at 12:36 PM
So the rapid fire SPX adventure this year worked out pretty well. I ended up splitting a table with Evan and Andrew (Spadefoot artist) and was next to John (He does Moment of Clarity).
The Haul
Minis from Becky Cloonan, The Beast Mother (purchase of the show, hands down. Holy shit is this thing lovely. Evan clued me in on it.), Spadefoot (of course), Wonders of Science (again, of course), Mesmo Delivery, and 10 uses for a fake moustache minis (for Xana and Matt). A smaller haul than years past, but a good one to be sure.
Adhouse had a preview of Scott Morse's book Tiger, Tiger, Tiger which I didn't realize was a preview book and tried to buy. A-Whoops! It's lovely though.
Rafer's Rabbit Army was EVERYWHERE on Saturday. I turned down the Rabbit Army draft, but proudly supported the endeavor. It paid off for him in sales, which is always great news.
Let's see, what else
I got to see James for the first time in years, but as usual it was a quick "hey!" as his table is slam packed for sales and he's doing Editor in Chief style duties.
Ate pizza and beer with the crew in Rafer's room, which was better than any planned con dinner ever. Ever.
Pictures and more SPX thoughts to follow soon.
The show was really great and the comic "energy" was high. I have a lot of ideas on what to do for next year's show and thoughts about this year's show too.
Thoughts like: If you're going to come and look at someone's book at a table and said creator says hello, don't grunt and put your headphones on.
Going to be at SPX

A sudden last minute opportunity to have some table space at SPX showed up, so I'm going to be at the show this weekend.
DETAILS:
SPXPO
Marriott Bethesda North Hotel & Conference Center, Rockville, MD
Saturday: 11 - 7
Sunday: 12 - 6
Table D-9, with other DC Conspiracy members: Evan Keeling, Andrew Cohen, and John Bintz.
I'll just have a few minis and be otherwise shilling the DCC wares, so stop by and say hi.
Around a bit more

I'm taking a few weeks off of The Day Job (I head back on the 6th of October) to draw and take care of other personal projects. And I get see the Folks for a few days in between, which is always fun.
What's this mean for the site? That I get back in the habit of posting on the blog on a regular basis.
In theory.

Meme taken from Steve Rolston's livejournal:
1. Take a picture of yourself right now
2. Don’t change your clothes, don’t fix your hair
Just take the picture
3. Post the picture with no editing
4. Post these instructions with your picture
I got a fancy new MacBook Pro at work. Now I want one at home. Anyone got 3 grand to spare?

So, after some steady blogging I vanished again in to the world of day job land. It's been a lot of long hours and really uninteresting blogging material.
Here I'll sum it up for you:
"Woke up. Went to work. Coded Web pages. Design Web pages. Went home. Ate a sandwich. Slept. Repeat."
The Fireflies show didn't happen, due to some communication snafus, so I'm working on setting up another show soon.
