48hrmag: One Page Comic

This past weekend there was a big experiment put on by MagCloud and Mother Jones (no relation). The 48hr Magazine project started at 12 PST with the release of the theme hustle. Creators had until 4 PST to finish up a submission based around their interpretation of the theme.
I must still have some Card Cheat on the brain, because I instantly to went to the con job meaning behind hustle.
I figured out an idea Friday night, got up Saturday morning, and started drawing around 10. I don't have many process shots, just because there wasn't time.
I made the deadline by the skin of my teeth, but unfortunately didn't get in to the magazine. Ah well. It was nice to flex the comic book muscles as always.
I figured out a few new techniques that I'm going to apply to the Plastic Farm short I'm working on. They really helped with speed and energy, so staying inside on a beautiful Saturday wasn't a total waste.
