Hey there

It seems like my traffic is going up these days, which is nice to see after having a Web site for going on 11 years.
I've taken a few days off from posting to regroup and think about my work in the upcoming year. The only definite right now is that there's going to be more Potboiler.
Issue One was a trial case. I needed something for SPX after other projects fell through, so I made it quick and dirty in about six weeks.
The thing is I'm really happy with it and now I'm hooked on the concept of doing a POD anthology every six months or so. I can see how the series will really take shape and how I'm going to use it. I've already got two stories waiting in the wings for Issue Two (one with Marc, who is also serving as de-facto editor for me, and another found piece of poetry).
MagCloud is so damn easy to use and creates such a nice object, that it's just made for POD comics. People complain about the price point of MagCloud, and then they complain that it only does 8 1/2 x 11, but no one has complained at all once they see the final product. It's made for making magazines in full color. I mean, not everything POD has to be done on crap paper in black and white for a dollar, you know? There are plenty of other services that you can find to meet your exact needs, and MagCloud definitely does it for Potboiler (and apparently the Atlantic).
This is a little thinking-out-loud and rambly, but I have cold so I'm allowed.
